Requirements

Submission

Hackers can choose the General or Beginner track.

You may only enter the beginner track if at least 2 (two) people on your team have not coded at a hackathon before. We will be verifying this at check-in. If we find that you have violated the rules and win a Beginner prize, you will be disqualified.

1. Projects must be created during and for Sego Lily Hacks. We do not allow cross-submissions.

2. Projects must involve code - a design prototype does not qualify as a project.

3. Participants must check-in to receive prizes and swag. (Which involves accepting the Code of Conduct.)

  • Originality
Is the product unique? Did the team come up with an original idea?
  • Functionality
Does the product work as specified? Do the features work? Is the user experience smooth?
  • Presentation
Was the product presented in a compelling way that clearly explains the product's purpose and functionality?
  • The "Wow"
Our hackathon isn't about following project guidelines, and hackers can make anything as long as it involves code. Did the team make something creative and special to them that is on theme?
  • Learning
Did the team learn something new, regardless of their experience level? Did they challenge themselves?
